Police Fun!

Having fun with learning about police!
Got these great printables from confessionsofahomeschooler.com.
We learned about what Police Officers do and what 911 is all about.
Talked about traffic and safety laws.
Our little Police Ladies taking turns directing traffic.

Traffic jam?

Leaving the cruiser to check out intersection.
Tomorrow we will have fun with finger prints!

Finished Product

Here is the finished product.  Both of the girls can fit it.  It is size 3.  It is a little tight in the shoulders on Bella though.  I am excited about buying the fabric I want now and making them both matching dresses.  But first I am working on Christmas presents.  :-)  More to come.

Peasant Girl Dress

Almost done with the first dress I have ever sewn! All I have left to do is make the sash. The one in the picture is just an example. I used some left over fabric I had to throw it together. Now that I have done it, I will go and buy some really pretty girly fabric for the girls!! :-)
I am so excited! The possibilities are endless now.
This looks like a good dress for Thanksgiving. Looks very fallish.

I got the pattern from http://www.etsy.com/ -Little Lizard King, Peasant Girl Dress by Elizabeth Claire.
Lots of great patterns for sale.  Love the website.
Thank you to my friend Jenn for showing me the website!

Artisan Bread

I make this bread at least every other week.  This is 'Boule' bread mix from the book "Artisan Bread in five Minutes a Day" by Jeff Hertzberg and Zoe Francois.  You can get the entire recipe on http://www.food.com/recipe/5-minute-artisan-bread-325571
This is a highly requested recipe that I am now going to share.  It has been requested at every party where I served the bread with spinach dip.  It also goes really good with pesto.  We will be having some with dinner.  Enjoy!
